This is our house on the day we put in a bid to buy it, November 2003. I could tell that there were gardens there. I remember being excited hoping that there might be a few tiger lilies in the flower beds. But my mind was not on the garden. There are few photos of the grounds in that first year because Charles and I concentrated on indoor  renovations. I guess I figured that it was only one-sixth of an acre. Certainly not a life-changing amount of land.
